By: E&P Staff The Print Council announced today the launch of a marketing and research Web site that covers the effectiveness of print advertising. The Rochester Institute of Technology is gathering the research about newspapers, direct mail, magazines, and other print vehicles on behalf of the organization.
"This is a very exciting and useful portal into the world of print for all those who study, design, create, evaluate, and use the medium for commercial or educational purposes," Patricia Sorce, administrative chair of RIT's School of Print Media and co-director of its Printing Industry Center, said in a statement.
The Web site
Print in the Mix shares surveys while contributing editors and columnists offer viewpoints and case studies.
"The most effective way to build the market for printed goods is to provide the best educational resources, to increase awareness, to promote advocacy, and to sponsor ongoing research into the field," Ben Cooper, executive director of the Print Council, said in a statement.
