'Post-Crescent' in Appleton, Wisc., Appoints GM

By: E&P Staff Andrew Oppmann has been promoted to the newly created position of general manager at The Post-Crescent in Appleton, Wisc.

Oppmann, 42, was named the newspaper's executive editor in 2001. He will continue to serve in that additional role.

He joined Gannett Co. in 1994, working as an editor for newspapers in Cincinnati and Montgomery, Ala.
