Toronto, Canada—Postmedia Network has announced Kirk Allen, executive vice president of advertising sales, plans to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. Allen has spent more than two decades in advertising sales for many of Canada's most venerable media brands. Prior to his appointment in July 2010, Allen was named senior vice president, advertising sales of Canwest Limited Partnership in 2006. He previously served as vice president, advertising for the National Post. Prior to his appointment to the National Post in 2005, Allen held a variety of senior management positions at
The Gazette (Montreal). His career also includes advertising sales with Hollinger International Inc., Southam Inc. and Quebecor Inc.
A search for his replacement is underway.
