In separate announcements, an online newspaper network and several individual newspapers chose new
career and recruitment partners.



PowerAdz.com chose CareerSite Corp. to power the employment section for newspapers in PowerAdz's Zwire!
Network. Ann Arbor, Mich.-based CareerSite will offer the CareerSite Recruiter software to newspaper Web
sites. The service will allow newspapers to offer local businesses online recruitment tools.



Local businesses will be able to use newspaper Web sites to screen thousands of candidate profiles,
create their own company profiles for prospective employees, upload job postings, and automatically match
open positions to qualified candidates.



For job seekers, the service offers password-protected, confidential, and anonymous profiles, in addition
to e-mail notification of job matches and online r?sum? storage.



CareerSite's services will be offered to the 550 newspapers in the Zwire! Network. In total, Troy,
N.Y.-based PowerAdz.com provides online services to 1,400 newspapers. The company hopes to switch most of
these clients to Zwire!, a full-service package of Web functions.



Pentawave wins new clients



In other online employment news, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Pentawave has signed several new newspapers to use
its IdealHire recruiting software: the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the News Tribune-Tacoma, and the
Florida Times-Union.



IdealHire is an advanced system for recruiters and job seekers. The software uses a comprehensive thesaurus
and dictionary of job skills, industry, and education to make matching more accurate. The service also allows
multimedia publishing, including print, online, and broadcast.
