'Press & Sun-Bulletin' in Binghamton, N.Y., Appoints Exec. Editor

By: E&P Staff Calvin J. Stovall has been appointed executive editor of the Press & Sun-Bulletin in Binghamton, N.Y., effective May 2.

Stovall, 51, has served as managing editor of the The News Journal in Wilmington, Del., since 2001. He began his career as a news reporter at the San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News, and has held management positions at newspapers including The Indianapolis Star, The Detroit News, and the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, N.J.

He succeeds Richard Jensen, who was recently named president and publisher of the Public Opinion in Chambersburg, Pa. Jensen had served the Press as executive editor since January 2000.
