Presteligence, Southern Lithoplate Partner to Offer Full CTP Solution

By: E&P Staff Workflow software developer Presteligence Inc., North Canton, Ohio, and printing plate manufacturer Southern Lithoplate Inc., Wake Forest, N.C., formed an alliance to package a complete computer-to-plate solution.

Created by the companies "to maintain their competitive presence with the larger conglomerates," the solution comprises plates, imagers and workflow software.

The alliance "allows us to combine our newspaper industry expertise and offer the best possible CtP workflow solution at the best overall value," Presteligence President and CEO Bob Behringer said in a statement.

"As the market continues the move to CtP, the Presteligence program has particular benefits for customers looking for a solid user-friendly newspaper workflow," said Southern Lithoplate Vice President Steve Mattingly.

Presteligence's Web-based NewsXtreme, used by several Southern Lithoplate cusomters, includes page pairing, soft-proofing, multi-burn, load balancing, fan-out and creep adjustment, e-mail error notification, and built-in redundancy.
