Optimizing energy efficiency is growing in importance as global energy costs rise. The new report aims to assists new web press investment decisions and improve the performance of existing installations. It provides an overview of interest to web offset printers worldwide and provides advice and access to suppliers with relevant in-depth knowledge.
The report also is available at no charge from the following PrintCity members and partners who shared their knowledge to create it: UPM, Trelleborg, Sun Chemical, Megtec, manroland, Faist, Duschl, Baum?ller, and Axima.
The special report will help printers, consultants and managers improve web offset plant energy efficiency, improve process energy efficiency, and optimize new press installation energy efficiency. It also covers blankets and rollers, press and drive efficiency, ink and paper, drying and air-pollution control, process cooling and ventilation, and reusing waste heat.
The 10-year-old PrintCity is a strategic alliance that shares worldwide expertise from independent companies in the graphic arts industry. Members work in partnerships within a complete workflow, from prepress through post-press, across the packaging, commercial printing and publishing sectors.
