By: E&P Staff "Erma Bombeck: Legacy of Laughter," a profile of the late humor columnist, is scheduled to air this Thursday night on public television.
The special is narrated by Phil Donahue, the longtime TV host who was Bombeck's friend and Ohio neighbor.
When Bombeck died in 1996, her column was running in about 700 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.
