Protecmedia Milenium Publishes 'SUR' in Three Languages

By: E&P Staff The Malaga-based daily SUR will use the Milenium publishing system from Madrid-based Protecmedia to produce without duplication of tasks a weekly German-language edition for visitors to the Spanish province's coast. The newspaper, one of the most widely read in Andalusia, already uses Milenium to produce its Spanish and English editions.

Priced 1.10 euros ($1.39), the German-language edition sells 7,500 copies along the coast. Half its content comes from the daily, with the balance tailored to the German community's interests. The same approach to content is taken with the 49,000-copy English-language weekly. That edition, however, is free and circulates as far as Gibraltar.
