Pulitzer Promotes Contreras to Sr. VP

By: E&P Staff Pulitzer Inc. of St. Louis has promoted Mark G. Contreras from vice president to senior vice president. He held his previous position and the senior vice president post of Pulitzer Newspapers Inc., a subsidiary, since 1999.

Contreras, 41, will retain oversight of Pulitzer Newspapers and will now also oversee the Arizona Daily Star and Pulitzer's share in TNI Partners, the JOA in Tucson.

He previously worked for Capital Cities/ABC, including a stint as publisher of The Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
