By: E&P Staff Punch Graphix has made changes to its marketing and sales staffs in Europe and the Americas, where it opened a Canadian Sales and Service Office.
Formerly in charge of marketing, Olaf Waskow now heads the finance department at Punch Graphix Prepress Germany GmbH, originally basysPrint GmbH.
Waskow has held leading positions in the printing industry for several years. He started working for basysPrint in 2003. In the course of reorganization of the Punch Graphix group, Waskow took over the financial department.
Responsibility for marketing and business development was assumed by Punch Graphix International, under Vice President V?ronique Mathias, in Lier, Belgium.
Punch Graphix Americas, Itasca, Ill., appointed Rob Mayerson as digital printing sales vice president -- North America. Before joining PGX-A, Mayerson was operations director at Vertis, from which he contributes experience in direct mail and transactional printing.
Eduardo Pazos joined PGX-A as sales and marketing vice president -- Latin America. Pazos was with IBM and has more than a decade of experience in the Latin American digital-printing and prepress market. Xeikon veteran Glenn Tool was appointed marketing and business development vice president.
Patrick McCarthy was named chief operations officer. With more than 15 years' experience in the digital-printing and prepress business, McCarthy was credited with streamlining PGX-A's service organization in a short span of time. Prepress and computer-to-plate systems expert Jeff Hopkins was appointed basysPrint sales vice president.
PGX-A also added six new regional sales managers to its North American sales force, specialists in different segments of the digital printing and prepress markets (e.g., transactional, direct mail, packaging), and several technical and customer-support staffers for its growing customer base.
The company also opened a Punch Graphix Canada administrative office and parts warehouse, in St- Laurent, near Montreal, which handles all sales and service.
