Purcell Named Director of Content Development at Herald Interactive

By: E&P Staff Kerry Purcell has been named to the newly created position of director of content development for Herald Interactive.

Purcell, who has been with the Boston Herald since 2003, has been writing a weekly column called "Meet," profiling emerging local bands. She will serve as the newsroom liaison to bostonherald.com for the features and sports departments.

"I'm very proud of the ink in Kerry's blood," said Boston Herald Publisher Patrick Purcell. "She's done a terrific job as a reporter, and those skills will be invaluable in streamlining the process of posting news on the website -- efficiently and expediently."
