QIPC Makes Big Sale to Big Belgian Publisher

Posted
By: E&P Staff Corelio, Belgium's biggest newspaper publisher, circulating almost a half million copies of such titles as De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad, De Gentenaar and Jobat en Les Editions de l'Avenir, placed an order with Q.I. Press Controls valued at more than 3.5 million euros.

Corelio placed the first Belgian order with Q.I. Press Controls four years ago, when it bought a KBA Commander press with QIPC's Intelligent Register System (IRS) for automatic control of color and cut-off register. At the time, KBA and Q.I. Press Controls collaborated with Corelio in developing an automatic fan-out system, which led to installation and successful operation of the IRS closed-loop fan-out system on one press tower.

Corelio will now equip its manroland Colorman and KBA Commander presses -- 20 four-over-four towers -- with the markless color-control system (IDS), automatic color- and cut-off register system (mRC+ with micro marks), including automatic fan-out, and the quality management system (IQM).
