By: E&P Staff Miami-based Quipp received an order from American Color Graphics for two Newstec high-speed inserters (16:2 and 12:2 machines), two Quipp Model 500 Wide stackers, two Quipp Viper 3/4 wrappers with powered side walls, spare parts and installation services.
The complete system will be installed in American Color Graphics' Dayton, N.J.,plant in the next few months. At the beginning of 2006 Quipp installed American Color Graphics' first Newstec inserter, a 16:2 machine, in the company's Medina, Ohio, plant.
Quipp and its Newstec subsidiary also announced a remanufactured feeder program and other parts for existing SLS-1000 inserter users. Customer can buy an entire remanufactured feeder assembly (including drum shaft assembly, main feeder assembly, standard feeder operator station assembly, and new electric clutch assembly) or any separate assembly, except for the electric clutch, with or without an exchange.
