By: Jim Rosenberg Quipp has shipped its first two Automatic Cart Loader (ACL) systems to The Honolulu Advertiser. Two more ACLs will be shipped at the end of next month. They are designed to quickly load the correct product for each distribution center or carrier route.
Quipp has also begun installing two Automatic Palletizer Systems and a bundle distribution system with accumulation lanes at The Boston Globe's Morrissey Boulevard plant. The smaller footprint of Quipp's palletizer saves floor space, allowing more equipment in a limited area. It also requires no slip-sheets.
