Quipp Sales to Denver, Riverside

By: E&P staff Miami-based Quipp Systems will supply a Twin-Trak conveyor system and two Packman multifunction packaging systems to the Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise through Heidelberg. The Packman systems will be used to build bundles from newspapers exiting the new Heidelberg Magnapak inserter. The order was placed in April and is scheduled to ship in July.

Designed to stack, wrap, print and strap, Packman provides bundle containment to decrease labor and waste and increase insert accountability; speed for short production windows; lower maintenance for more up time; and reliable counts to meet distribution requirements with less waste.

Also in April, Quipp sold 36 Viper bottomwrappers to the Denver Newspaper Agency. Delivery begins next month. The jointly operated Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post have been Quipp customers for 10 years.
