Posted
By: E&P Staff Family-owned newspaper publisher Reading Eagle Co., Reading, Pa., is using a hosted speech application developed by VoicePort, Pittsford, N.Y., to handle circulation phone calls. The application, CircPort onDemand, has been integrated with the Reading Eagle's DTI/PBS circulation database to process transactions in real time, according to VoicePort.

VoicePort's hosted application is designed for smaller newspapers' budgets. Using the system, Eagle subscribers can schedule vacation holds, report missed or late papers, and make payments.
