Real Cities Founder Named Classifieds Chief at KR Digital

By: E&P Staff Lem Lloyd has been named Knight Ridder Digital's vice president, classified advertising, and Knight Ridder corporate director of classified advertising. Lloyd will oversee Knight Ridder's classified initiatives online and in print.

"One of Knight Ridder's goals is to create vibrant local marketplaces," Mike Petrak, vice president of marketing for Knight Ridder, said in a statement. "To accomplish that, we'll need to blend our print newspapers and our strong online properties to create more value for our customers. And Lem will lead the charge."

Lloyd has worked for Knight Ridder for 14 years. He previously oversaw online business for real estate, automotive, classified, and obituaries. He also founded the Real Cities network and has directed the company's national advertising contracts and partnerships.
