1991 Tacoma, Wash., News Tribune employees in the editorial, advertising and circulation departments voted 86-77 to decertify the Guild.
1993 Great Falls (Mont.) Tribune employees vote 47-25 to decertify the Guild, which represented workers in news, advertising and circulation.
1995 Cincinnati Enquirer newsroom employees voted 79-44 to retain the Guild.
1997 Lansing (Mich.) State Journal newsroom employees voted 32-29 to decertify the Guild.
1998 Detroit Free Press newsroom employees attempted to decertify the Guild, and 103 of about 260 workers signed a petition requesting a vote. A director of the National Labor Relations Board rejected the petition.
