By: E&P Staff Pat Schmidt has been named publisher of the Redwood Falls (Minn.) Gazette. He replaces Rick Peterson.
Schmidt began his career as a reporter for the Ortonville (Minn.) Independent, and later held positions as general manager and publisher at the Fairfax (Minn.) Standard, Olivia (Minn.) Times-Journal, Wadena (Minn.) Pioneer-Journal and more recently at the Montevideo (Minn.) American-News.
He has also served as publisher of the Cheechako News in Soldotna, Alaska, and served as editor of Alaska Flying Magazine and advertising manager of Alaska Outdoors Magazine in Anchorage.
