By: Kevin Eckstrom, award-winning national correspondent for Religion News Service, has been promoted to associate editor at RNS.
In the new position, he will assist RNS Editor Mark O'Keefe with editing the wire service, managing stringers, and more. Eckstrom will also continue to report -- focusing on the Catholic and mainline Protestant beats, and on enterprise stories.
RNS, which is part of Newhouse News Service, has more than 100 daily newspaper clients. It also provides content to magazines, Web sites, TV and radio stations, and religious publications.
