Retired 'AJC' Pressman Frank Murray Dies at 80

By: E&P Staff Frank Murray, retired journeyman pressman at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, died Nov. 21 at age 80.

Born in Plainfield, N.J., Francis Joseph Murray served in the Military Police during World War II. He moved to Georgia in 1970. A volunteer fireman, Murray also was a Santa Claus to special needs children after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, his four daughters, four of his seven sons, four brothers, 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
