By: E&P Staff Reuters photographer Arko Datta won the World Press Photo of the Year 2004 for his image of an Indian woman mourning relatives killed in the tsunami. The photographer is an Indian national who has worked for Reuters since 2001.
In related news, a panel discussion assessing media coverage of the tsunami will be held the evening of Feb. 16 at the Reuters office in New York City. Among the seven scheduled speakers are Reuters Global Editor/General & Political News Paul Holmes and New York Times Public Editor Daniel Okrent.
