Richard "Rick" Daniels has been named CEO and publisher of The Baltimore Sun. In his new position he will oversee media groups anchored by The Baltimore Sun and The Morning Call, in Allentown, Pa.. Daniels joined Tribune Publishing Co., parent company of the Baltimore Sun, in 2014 as publisher and CEO of the Hartford (Conn.) Courant, another Tribune newspaper. He previously worked for The Boston Globe and as CEO of GateHouse Media New England, which published 100 print titles and more than 150 websites.
