Ricky Mathews Appointed President, Publisher of Three Newspapers

Ricky Mathews has been appointed president and publisher of the Press-Register in Mobile, Ala., the Baldwin Register in Bay Minette, Ala., and The Mississippi Press in Pascagoula. He was also named president of Advance Alabama/Mississippi, assuming oversight of the Birmingham News and the Huntsville Times, in addition to the Press-Register, Baldwin Register and Mississippi Press. Mathews most recently served as president and publisher of the Sun Herald in Biloxi, Miss. He succeeds Howard Bronson.
