Riggs Named Senior VP, CFO of 'Star Tribune'

By: E&P Staff Michael J. Riggs has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. He replaces Jon Heimerman, who left the company in January.

Riggs, 37, was previously director of interactive media revenue.

He joined the Star Tribune in 1996 as a senior financial accountant and has held various financial management jobs. Before moving to interactive advertising sales last year, he was director of business planning for the sales division, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and strategic sales initiatives.
