Robert Arthur Olinto, former market researcher, dies at the age of 76

Robert Arthur Olinto of Aliso Viejo, California, born June 29, 1945, an eternal optimist with a passion for life, family, photography and writing, passed away on Aug. 17, 2021, at the age of 76.

He was born to Arthur and Dorothy Olinto and attended Sacred Heart High, Weymouth, Massachusetts; Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts; and the University of Southern California. During his time at USC, Olinto studied film with renowned cinematographers, including Robert Zemeckis.

He spent 20 years doing market research at the Orange County Register before becoming an independent market researcher. He traveled the world and took breathtaking photos. He had a passion for reading and writing and wrote a number of novels which became his life's work and masterpieces.

He leaves behind his longtime love and partner Donna Barnard; his son Robin Olinto, daughter-in-law Heather and their children Dax and Quinn; daughter Jessica (Olinto) LaReau, son-in-law Ryan and their children Rylie, Levi and Cody; daughter Elizabeth Olinto; and two sisters, Janice McClellan and Nancy Brennan of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He will be deeply missed every day.
