By: Joe Strupp The Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle will no longer carry complete stock market listings during weekdays, the paper announced Thursday. Instead, Tuesdays through Fridays, the Gannett Co. Inc. daily will run stocks "of local interest," the top 10 U.S. companies, and other market indicators for futures, oil, gold, and currency prices.
Saturday and Sunday market listings will remain the same, the paper revealed.
"This action mirrors moves being made by newspapers across the country as readers increasingly turn to Internet sources for their Wall Street news," the paper
explained in a short item. "Stock market listings are easily accessible on our Web site by going to
www.DemocratandChronicle.com/stocks/."
