Sabah Publisher Adds Goss Colorliner Towers

Posted
By: E&P Staff Merkez Yayin Holdings, Istanbul, Turkey, is increasing its color capacity and flexibility by installing seven shaftless Goss Colorliner printing units, configured as two four-high towers, enabling production of an additional 16 full-color pages. The investment follows increased circulation and color requirements of the group's leading newspaper title, Sabah.

Installation is taking place in three planned stages without interrupting production on existing press equipment. The first stage, installation of a four-high Goss Colorliner 80 tower, was completed in November. The second stage will convert a mono unit into a tower by adding three Colorliner units. The third stage will upgrade controls on the Colorliner and the company's two Goss HT70 presses to network the latest presetting capabilities across all three presses.

The new press will be capable of printing up to 112 tabloid pages, 96 in full color.
