By: E&P Staff The Sacramento Bee has announced its 2006 short film contest, "Show Us Your Shorts."
Open to all California residents, the contest is a search for a film no longer than four minutes that in some way highlights the paper or its websites sacbee.com or SacTicket.com. Entries are supposed to be more than just a commercial for the paper and must be submitted by October 30, 2006.
The Bee?s movie critic, Carla Meyer, will choose five finalists, which will be posted online and then voted on by the public. The contestant with the highest number of votes will be named the winner, and will receive $1,000 and a private screening event. Two runners up (the second and third place winners of the public vote) will each receive $250.
Entries are now being accepted.
