Sacramento Valley Mirror Publisher Ordered to Pay School District $56,600

The publisher of the Sacramento Valley Mirror has been ordered to pay more than $50,000 in attorney fees to the Willows Unified School District over a 2009 court action taken by the newspaper that was ruled “frivolous, unnecessary and unreasonable.”

Tim Crews was ordered by Judge Peter B. Twede to pay $56,598.50 to the Chico-based law firm that represented the Willows Unified School District in a 2009 California Public Records Request case that Crews lost.
