Saggiomo to be Agfa Graphic Systems CEO

By: E&P Staff Agfa announced today that upon closing of its acquisition of Lastra SpA at the end of this month (E&P Online, Aug. 12), Lastra America Corp. President and CEO Tom Saggiomo will become president of Agfa's Graphic Systems group in North America, succeeding Robert Stabler.

Before creation of Lastra America, Saggiomo was among the founders of Kodak Polychrome Graphics. He managed Eastman Kodak's Printing Products Division and was director of marketing and sales for Hoechst/Enco.

A 20-year Agfa veteran who held several senior positions in North America and Europe, Stabler "decided to pursue other career opportunities," according to Agfa, which credited him with managing Agfa's transition from analog workflows to digital solutions.
