By: E&P Staff Samsung, the latest manufacturer hoping to tap into the potential of digital books, has launched a pocket-sized e-reader.

reported via Paid Content that a Samsung executive said the electronic manufacturer hopes to become an even bigger player in the e-reader marketplace than Amazon or Sony.
The Samsung reader, which is currently available only in South Korea, does not have a wireless connection. The screen is five inches tall, and it can hold up to 2,500 books.
In January, Samsung plans to make the rounds with a new prototype for the international market.
