By: E&P Staff Dino Chiecchi has been named editor of Hispanic publications for the San Antonio (Texas) Express-News.
Chiecchi will oversee Conexi?n, the Express-News' weekly bilingual publication. In addition, he will serve as the liaison between the paper's senior newsroom managers and the marketing and advertising departments.
An El Paso, Texas, native, Chiecchi came to work for San Antonio Express-News in 1986 as a city desk reporter. He later became assistant city editor, assistant business editor, and business editor, and also served as Sunday editor before leaving the Express-News after more than a decade. He returns to San Antonio after five years as an editor for The Associated Press' Texas bureau in Dallas.
Chiecchi has also worked for the Austin American-Statesman, the Tucson Citizen, and South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.
