'San Diego U-T' Offers Electronic Edition Subscriptions

By: E&P Staff The San Diego Union-Tribune is offering seven-day subscriptions to a searchable electronic edition of its newspaper, available via a link on SignOnSanDiego.com.

Created in partnership with PressSmart Media Ltd., New York and Hyderabad, India, the electronic edition contains the same editorial and advertising content in the exact layout as the print edition.

An early version was offered at no charge during last year's wildfires in southern California (see 'S.D. Union-Tribune' Pulled Home Page Ads, E&P Online, Oct. 25).

"Our electronic edition pairs the convenience of online content with the familiar feel and design of a hard-copy newspaper," Sales Channel and Business Development Manager Jeanne Driscoll said in a statement.
