Sanchez Column Has Rare Talk With Cindy Sheehan's Ex-Husband

By: E&P Staff A column featuring a rare interview with the ex-husband of antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan has been written by Mary Sanchez.

Her syndicate, Tribune Media Services, is offering the column as a one-shot sale in addition to having distributed the piece to Sanchez's regular clients.

Pat Sheehan, the ex-husband, contacted Sanchez after she wrote a column about an exhausted and disillusioned Cindy Sheehan giving up her activism on behalf of her son Casey -- who was killed in the Iraq War.

Cindy Sheehan has said her son died "for nothing" during the disastrous war, which started when the U.S. invaded Iraq. Pat Sheehan told Sanchez he feels Casey's death did have meaning.
