By: E&P Staff With all the focus on the transfer of Tribune Co. assets to Sam Zell on Thursday, the recent debate, and then decision, on the Federal Communications Commission's cross-ownership ban took a back seat for a spell.
It's sure to revive shortly, of course, with the Tribune, which benefits greatly from the highly partisan 3-2 FCC vote this week, still not completely pleased. The rest of the industry, and activists who have fought to keep the ban, are still hopping mad about its partial lifting.
