The highs and the lows.Howard Kaiser, the Publisher of The Evening News, has seen it all in his 20 years in the Sault.

“My two decades here were very diverse,” Kaiser said. “The really high point was watching the Sault grow, including the expansion of retail base, the LSSU building projects, and the transformation of the Sault Tribe and the Bay Mills Tribe. They have provided educational opportunities, healthcare resources and housing for members, not just gaming.
