Posted
By: E&P Staff Saxotech has launched Saxotech Online Ad Solutions to provide tools to harness the growing potential of online advertising. Built for the media industry, Saxotech Online Ad Solutions are designed to increase internal efficiency, enhance the end-user experience and maximize advertising profitability.

The initial offerings within the solutions suite are the Ad Sales Management system and the Directory Publishing Center.

A software-as-a-service solution using on-demand technology,
Ad Sales Management streamlines scheduling, pricing, quoting, ordering, publishing and billing combinations of digital display ads and online directory listings. A single point of management for all digital media sales, the system offers integration potential and rapid deployment of new functionality. It also supports quoting offline ads that can be streamlined to legacy print-advertising systems through a flexible Ad Export API.

Saxotech's Directory Publishing Center allows publishers to create an array of searchable directories, guides and index products. "The Directory Publishing Center provides a strong local-search advertising offering, and loyal communities can be leveraged to provide better exposure to the advertiser," Saxotech Strategy and Products Executive Vice President Peter Ibsen said in a statement. "With the rapid-deployment-cycle capability through the use of this solution, media companies can show a return on investment within weeks."

The Directory Publishing Center provides customizable features, including the rapidly deployable business directory. Containing more than a dozen primary local points of interest, the business directory consists of a well-defined set of editable default templates, scripts, cascading style sheets and utilities that provide a turnkey directory solution for small to medium-sized businesses and services in a local market. When deployed with the Saxotech Mediaware Center, the Directory Publishing Center can provide deep content integration where directory content can be mashed up with editorial content.

Publishers can offer many premium options for featured advertisers and can add engaging components or behaviors to an advertiser's listing to create up-sell opportunities.
