School Releases Records, But 'Montgomery Advertiser' Suit Continues

By: (AP) Montgomery County School Superintendent Carlinda Purcell says she will release personnel reports today which were demanded by an open records lawsuits filed by the Montgomery Advertiser.

The newspaper was trying to confirm the name of an employee at Robert E. Lee High School who was placed on administrative leave January 21 along with head football coach and athletic director Chris Baxter. Suzanne Auerback was identified publicly after she and Baxter after both were fired by the school board.

Managing Editor Marilyn Mitchell says the newspaper will pursue the lawsuit to ensure that the personnel reports are not withheld again.
