Scripps to Use Relationals CRM Software at 13 Papers

By: E&P Staff E.W. Scripps has signed on with Relationals, which provides customer-relationship management software for media companies, to install its Relationals CRM suite at 13 Scripps newspapers. The new service will improve advertiser relationships, increase revenues, and unify sales management for the participating newspapers, the companies said in a statement.

"We were impressed with Relationals during a test of their product at the Corpus Christi Called-Times," Bob Benz, general manager/interactive media for Scripps newspapers, said in a statement. ?When we started looking for an online insertion order application for our online sites, we turned to Relationals for a possible solution. They worked with us to integrate the insertion order application into their CRM suite, giving us an opportunity to offer both the application we needed and CRM to our newspapers.?

Relationals designed its services specifically for the media industry and can integrate information from other software organizers. It also allows a newspaper to monitor its sales activities and view sales progress and quarterly goals in graphical form. Relationals CRM is a hosted service and as such there?s no hardware to buy, no software to install, no networking or configuration lead times, no back up software to purchase. It can therefore boasts speedy launch times for clients, who can begin using the program with little training.
