SCS Installs Mac-based Scoop System at Riverton 'Ranger'

The Ranger, Riverton, Wyoming, installed a newsroom system created by Sweden's Scoop Publishware, installed and supported by Software Consulting Services, Nazareth, Pa., and paginating with QuarkXPress.

The 10-user system consists of ScoopEdit desktop for workflow and story management and Scoop Content Manager for database management. All client workstations are Macintosh. The site's PostgreSQL for the database resides on a small Windows server.

The server and system were configured remotely from SCS, and the Ranger went live Oct. 1 after four days of on-site training.
