'Seattle Times' Goes Live with NewsEngin TeamPlayer

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Seattle Times has gone live with NewsEngin's TeamPlayer software to collect, organize and present prep sports statistics for online and print.

Browser-based TeamPlayer enables news organizations to automatically reverse-publish all of a region's high school sports scores and statistics for teams and players.

NewsEngin TeamPlayer can extend the range of a Web site -- from dynamic team rankings and individual player totals, to searches for individual player bios and rosters. It creates additional advertising opportunities by drawing increased readership and respecting the branding and design of a newspaper's Web site.

TeamPlayer can export formatted text to print and the Web, even if the platforms use different formats and have different presentation requirements.

The application contains a user-management toolkit that allows schools to manage their teams' scores and statistics, as well as information about players and rosters, allowing organizations to enhance their online and print presentation of prep sports without additional staffing.

The easy-to-use browser interface behaves with the stability and efficiency of a workstation client, according to NewsEngin. For organizations that don't want to host TeamPlayer, NewsEngin offers managed hosting with guaranteed uptime and unlimited use.
