The day after San Antonio’s Express-News (E-N) editor Bob Rivard resigned, the newspaper’s managing editor, Brett Thacker also gave notice he was leaving after 28 years.
“It’s been a privilege to work at the E-N for 28 years, the last eight as managing editor,” Thacker sent in an email to staff. “I can’t rave enough about the talent and commitment in the newsroom and the work done day in and day out by the reporters, photographers, researchers, line editors, department heads, editorial assistants and online producers.”
