Second 'Life' Insert Features Sadie the Doodle

Posted
By: Life magazine has gone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Sadie the Doodle.

Readers of papers that carry the new inset will receive the second issue of the resurrected publication Friday, this time featuring a curly, golden-mop dog on the cover.

Doodles, the cover-line explains, is the new breed of half-Labrador retriever (or Golden Retriever, in the case of Sadie) and half poodle and is the choice for families looking for a canine friend.

The second issue comes to 24 pages -- as opposed to the 36-page inaugural issue -- and is rather thin on the ad-side. There are full-page ads from Dell, Project Grad, Post Cereal, and Homestar Mortgage Services. There's one half-page ad from Direct4U. The rest seem like full-page house ads: for Life Photographs, a Life promotion, and Time magazine.

The October 3 issue of Parade also featured ads from Dell and Direct4U.
