Seinet Scores First Big Sale

By: Jim Rosenberg Spanish cross-media-systems developer Seinet has signed its first big customer: Headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, Media24 bought an XTent editorial system with Adobe InDesign links and Panorama production tools for more than 800 seats in three cities.

The system will roll out with a few months of testing this year before going live. "This is really going to be the good test of the solution," Seinet Chief Operating Officer Craig Mitchell said. The group comprises three newspaper chains, as well as online and TV operations in southern Africa and affiliations across Asia.
