'Sentinel-Standard Publisher' in Mich. Appoints New Editor

By: E&P Staff Brandon Lacic has been named editor of the Sentinel-Standard Publisher in Ionia, Mich. He replaces Valerie Gaus, who has resigned following an extended leave to care for her ill father and mother-in-law.

Lacic, 25, joined the Sentinel-Standard nearly five years ago and has been its managing editor for more than two years. He has served as acting editor since mid-September. Before his appointment to managing editor, Lacic covered police and breaking news beats for the paper.

Gaus, 54, was named editor of the Sentinel-Standard in 2000. She has been with the paper for more than a decade.
