Serendipity Software Launches Proofing System

By: E&P Staff Digital proofing product developer Serendipity Software, Sydney, Australia, is introducing its soft-proofing technology. The new Veripress system will support standards for newspaper, commercial sheetfed, packaging, magazine, and gravure work, according to the company.

The Veripress application uses dynamic touch-screen control rather than a mouse and keyboard to do press-console soft proofing. According to Serendipity, maker of the Blackmagic digital proofing system, Veripress gives printers immediate access to on-screen proofs with accurate color display, which can reduce or even eliminate the need for hard proofs from inkjet printers.
