By: E&P Staff An exhibit called "Sex and Sensibility" will display the work of two Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonists as well as eight cartoonists who publish in The New Yorker magazine.
The show -- which runs from Feb. 9 to June 8 at the Cartoon Art Museum of San Francisco -- features 50 cartoons from Liza Donnelly's upcoming book "Sex and Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Love ... in 200 Cartoons." Donnelly is one of the eight magazine cartoonists represented in the show.
The editorial cartoonists are Ann Telnaes of the Cartoonists & Writers Syndicate/New York Times Syndicate and Signe Wilkinson of The Philadelphia Daily News and the Washington Post Writers Group.
Wilkinson also does the "Family Tree" comic strip
which was launched four days ago by United Media.
The Donnelly-edited collection -- scheduled to be published April 2 by Twelve Books -- contains cartoons that humorously comment on relationships, sexual politics, gender roles, and other topics.
