By: E&P Staff A convicted sex offender was arrested for allegedly using a newspaper ad in the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal to lure a woman to his residence and rape her, according to a report in the Beacon Journal.

The suspect, James D. Swalcy, 58, was arrested Friday morning when police obtained a search warrant after receiving a call from the victim.

The advertisement, which sought a server/dancer, was published before Christmas in the Beacon Journal's classified section under the category General Help Wanted. Sheriff Duane W. Kaley said the 21-year-old victim called the phone number and set a meeting at Swalcy's residence, a former tavern, for early Thursday night. She was seeking a job as a server.

Swalcy was being held Friday night at the Portage County Jail. He is being charged with one count of rape.
